Who we are

Alofy Studio runs this website. If you have a question about this policy or your information, email us at alofystudio@gmail.com.

What we collect

When you send the contact form we collect:

• your name and email address
• your company name, if you give it
• the service you are asking about and your message
• how you heard about us, if you choose to tell us

With each message we also store a one-way hash of your IP address and your browser's user agent string. We use these only to stop spam and repeated submissions. We never store your IP address itself.

The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, not a bot, is sending it. Turnstile processes technical information such as your IP address and browser details to do this.

We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. If you switch between the light and dark theme, your choice is saved in your own browser and is never sent to us.

How we use it

• to reply to your enquiry and discuss the work you asked about
• to keep a record of enquiries and the work that follows
• to protect the form from spam and abuse

We do not sell your information, and we will not add you to a mailing list without asking you first.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run this website and handle enquiries:

• Vercel, which hosts the website
• Supabase, which stores form submissions (in Sydney, Australia)
• Resend, which sends us an email when a new enquiry arrives
• Cloudflare, which runs the Turnstile spam check
• Google, which hosts our email (Gmail)

Some of these providers store or process information outside the country you are in, including in the United States. We choose providers that protect information with reasonable security measures. We do not otherwise share your information unless the law requires it.

Analytics

This website does not currently use analytics. If we add analytics later, we will use a privacy-friendly tool that does not use cookies, and we will update this page before it goes live.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to reply and for our business records, then delete them.

How we protect it

Information sent through this website is encrypted in transit. Form submissions are stored in a database that cannot be read or written from the website itself; only our server-side function can add new enquiries, and only the people who need to reply to you can read them.

Your choices

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us at alofystudio@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Questions and complaints

Please contact us first and we will try to put things right. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
